Vikram’s ‘Mahavir Karna’ goes on floors

Chiyaan Vikram has commenced shooting for the magnum opus Mahavir Karna based on the epic Mahabharata.

Directed by Malayalam filmmaker RS Vimal, the film is said to be based on Karna’s perspective of the iconic Kurukshetra war.

Vimal had earlier directed the critically acclaimed period drama Ennu Ninte Moideen. For his character in the film, Vikram seems to have bulked up, but his look has been kept under wrap.

The makers are said to have started the shoot of Mahavir Karna with the iconic Kurukshetra sequence which will be used in the digital motion poster of the film. Confirming the news, RS Vimal shared his excitement on the Facebook page: “The day has finally arrived…MAHAVIR KARNA has started…Sharing my immense pleasure on saying ACTION for the first time to the Great Actor CHIYAAN VIKRAM…Thank God!.”
