Parliament website edited to recognise MR as an MP

The Parliament website has been edited to recognise Mahinda Rajapaksa as a Parliamentarian and not Prime Minister. Rajapaksa continued to be listed as the current Prime Minister on the website despite Parliament approving a no-confidence motion against him. The matter was raised in Parliament over the last few days, including yesterday.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya had assured that he will instruct his officials to make changes to the website. Accordingly the website today notes that Rajapaksa is an MP and that he was Prime Minister only from 26th October 2018 to 14 November 2018.
