India-Pakistan World Cup clash likely to be discussed on sidelines of ICC meet
The International Cricket Council is likely take a call on India-Pakistan cricketing ties during its meeting in Dubai on February 27, sources in cricket's governing body revealed on Wednesday.
India and Pakistan, the powerhouses of Asian cricket, haven't played bilateral cricket since Pakistan's visit to their neighbouring country in 2012-13 for a three-match ODI series. Both the teams though have been meeting at key tournaments organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
But the fate of India and Pakistan's June 16 group match in the ICC World Cup still hangs in the balance with the ICC now likely to take a call on that next week.
"There are chances that the India-Pakistan World Cup clash will be discussed on the sidelines of ICC meeting to be held in Dubai from 27th February," an ICC source was quoted as saying by ANI.
