Old Lady beaten to death in Jaffna ! Two brothers in custody !!

Two brothers were remanded for 14 days in connection with the murder of a woman in Urumpirai area in Jaffna.They were arrested in Jaffna on the basis of information received by the Jaffna District Senior Superintendent of Police.

In the last 6 months, an elderly lady was killed by an axe in the Urumpirai area. Those who went to search for the son killed the old lady.Three persons have been arrested and remanded in connection with the incident. Three of the main suspects came in search of the police.

In the search operation of the police headed by the District Senior Superintendent  they got  information  that two of the  main suspects were going  to the town of Jaffna.

Two men were detained two days ago and two were arrested and handed over to the Kopay police for 14 days.The police are looking for another young man too involved in this murder case.
