J.V.P to discuss with Opp. Leader MR.
The JVP has requested for a meeting to discuss on-going political developments with Leader of the Opposition Mahinda Rajapaksa.
When inquired a spokesperson for the Leader of the Opposition said, the meeting will likely be held next week.
The spokesperson said the discussion can be held at the Parliamentary complex during the budget debate.
Minister Mangala Samaraweera is scheduled to present the Budget Speech on Tuesday while the debate on the second reading will be held until the 12<sup>th</sup> of March.
The JVP has presented the 20th amendment to the Constitution in a bid to abolish the Executive Presidency and seeking the support of MPs to pass the legislature.
The JVP is hoping to hold discussion with all political parties in Parliament in a bid to pass the legislation with a 2/3rd majority.
