Government to provide jobs in Japan?

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the government hopes to direct those who are seeking employment overseas to developed countries such as Japan.
Speaking during an event at the Temple Trees today Prime Minister Wickremesinghe said the government will expedite measures to train labourers for this purpose.
The Premier noted the country's good relations with Japan will ensure job opportunities in future.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe stressed with the development of the economy job opportunities will increase.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe meanwhile said steps are currently underway to upgrade the country’s economy.
The Premier claimed the government hopes to ensure skills knowledge and education required to help those who wish to seek foreign employment.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe added the government has granted 600 acres for the construction of factories over the past two years while trade zones in Bingiriya spanning over 1,200 acres and 4,000 acres in Hambantota are being constructed at present.
The Prime Minister noted hotels required for the tourism industry will be opened up while also introducing IT programmes in future.
