Bullets seized from businessman at Chennai airport
Tension prevailed at Chennai airport this morning when CISF personnel found bullets in the bag of a passenger.
According to police, an industrialist was checking into a flight to Bangkok and put his baggage for screening when the CISF men on duty found a few bullets. Subsequently, he was singled out for questioning. During the inquiry, he produced the required documents stating he had the license for carrying the gun. He was let off.
In a separate incident, a passenger who came to the city for medical treatment passed away at the airport premises. Yusuf (51), came to the airport to board a flight to his native place in Jordan. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer in the city for a while. He was at the check-in area when he passed away.
