Indian 2 to release after Lok Sabha elections?
The shooting for the much-anticipated magnum opus Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar will resume after Lok Sabha elections, say sources. Reportedly Kamal has asked the films director Shankar to resume the shoot in May as he was busy now with election duties and campaigning for his own party Makkal Needhi Maiam.
The shooting is expected to begin by May end. The news is expected to bring cheers among Ulaga Naayagan’s fans because a few days ago rumours were circulating that he film was being shelved. Indian, the first part won the national award in 1996.
Produced by Lyca, Indian 2 has Kajal Aggarwal, Delhi Ganesh, and Nedumudi Venu in pivotal characters. Ravi Varman is cranking the camera for the film and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The makers are planning to release the film for Pongal 2020.
