Madhavan calls out Congress for mocking PM Narendra Modi, gets schooled on politics

The Alaipayuthey actor is one of the very few actors who never shies away from offering political opinions on social media. Yesterday, the actor called out Congress and its IT wing for coming up with a video meme featuring PM Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi, which was in a bad taste.

Madhavan took to Twitter and wrote, "This is in such bad taste. What ever the political rivalry -Shri Modi Ji is the Prime Minister of this country and you are demeaning this nation in front of China in this video with such crass attempt at humor.NOT expected from this Twitter handle. @narendramodi @RahulGandhi (sic)"
