Decision on mass grave excavations today

A decision on whether or not excavations at the Mannar mass grave site will continue is expected to be reached during a special discussion today.
Mannar Judicial Medical Officer in charge of the excavation site, Shaminda Rajapaksa said the discussions will be held under the patronage of Mannar Magistrate T Sarawanaraja, with a group of officials who conducted the excavations.
The final report on carbon dating tests conducted on the remains unearthed from the site was submitted to court recently.
