Hectic campaigning by party leaders across TN, EPS in Vellore

With just two days left for filing nominations, campaigning has hit a feverish pitch across Tamilnadu for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami addressed rallies in Vellore for second consecutive day today. Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam canvassed for votes in Kanchipuram and DMK president will be visiting constituencies in Chennai today.

Elections to 39 Lok Sabha seats and by-polls to 18 Assembly seats in Tamilnadu will take place in a single phase on 18 April. Filing of nominations began 19 March and will conclude on 26 March.

With just two days left for filing nominations, leaders of various political parties are busy campaigning. Edappadi K Palaniswami has been camping in Salem or the past few days.

Yesterday, he met voters in Tiruvannamalai and Vellore. Today he continued his campaign in Vellore and urged people to vote for A C Shanmugham, president of New Justice Party, contesting in the AIADMK led alliance. He will be visiting Thiruvallur later today, where he would seek votes for AIADMK candidate Venugopal.

Meanwhile O Pannerselvam is camping in Kanchipuram. He addressed voters at several places and sought their support for Maragatham Kumaravel.

M K Stalin, who toured various parts of Tamilnadu in the last few days, will be canvassing in Chennai today. He will also address a meet in his constituency Perambur. MDMK general secretary Vaiko is scheduled to seek votes for candidates of DMK alliance in Tenkasi and Virudhunagar.
