Meanwhile the Government Nursing Officers Association said it does not have any involvement with the ongoing trade union action.

Speaking to NewsRadio Chairman of the Association Saman Rathnapriya said the Association initiated many projects for the development of the nursing service.

Rathnapriya noted the Association has granted a period of two weeks for the government to address its concerns adding failing to do so would result in the conduct of a trade union action.
