‘Gorilla’ is ready to hit the screens
Close on the release of his science-fiction Kee in April, Jiiva’s long-pending Gorilla will be out in May.
Directed by Don Sandy, the film is a heist comedy about a group of people trying to loot a bank with the help of a chimpanzee.
For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a chimpanzee plays an important role. The film also has a bevy of stars in the cast including Radha Ravi, Sathish, Muniskanth, Yogi Babu and Mottai Rajendran.
The film is bankrolled by Vijayaraghavendra under his banner All In Pictures, which has produced movies such as Masala Padam and Rum. The music for this comedy entertainer will be composed by Sam CS of Vikram Vedha fame. Shalini Pandey will be making her debut in the Tamil films.
Gorilla will explore the bank robbery movie like no other Tamil film, Sandy said and added, “It will be an out-and-out comedy where the lead cast heads off to loot a bank.”
