Parthiepan replaces Gautham Menon as TFPC Vice-President

Acclaimed actor and director R Parthiban was appointed the Vice President of the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) which was announced at the executive committee meeting of TFPC held on Monday. Vishal shared that the decision to appoint Parthiban was arrived at unanimously after the opposite camp mainly targeted Gautham Menon and had been raising complaints of him not regularly visiting the council office and not attending the meetings.

In the executive committee meeting, members discussed how to organize the concert of Ilaiyaraaja and they have also sought an appointment to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy. Vishal also said that the council will proceed to take action against the members who had participated in the protest. He also welcomed the GST slab revision made for the entertainment industry.
