Tamil detainee slits throat in police custody

A Tamil detainee at Manipay police station attempting suicide by slitting his throat whilst in custody. 

The detainee has been admitted to Jaffna hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

Three youths were arrested on Thursday accused of vandalising a house.
