400 acres in Jaffna High Security Zone released

400 acres in the Valikamam North Division of the Jaffna High Security Zones will be immediately be released soon after provisions ensured, security sector officials have informed Northern Province Governor Suren Raghavan.

When Northern Province Governor made an inspection tour in the Jaffna Mailidi Roman Catholic School, Kanikkai Mada Church and civilian lands in the Jaffna High Security Zone, the security officials have informed him the situation.

Governor made an inspection tour in order to expedite the release of the lands belonging to the civilian population in Jaffna High Security Zone after participating in the UNHRC sessions in Geneva.

Raghavan also observed the development activities of the Mailidi fishery harbor and observed the development activities at the Myllithi Arogya Matha Church in Jaffna.

The Governor was also accompanied by officials of the Valikamam Resettlement Trust Fund and the Security Forces Headquarters of Jaffna.
