Rupasinghe meets Ravi with solution to power crisis!

As a solution to the power crisis, a low cost fuel-less liquid compression engine using new technology has been invented, which has attracted the attention of the Power and Energy Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
This new invention which produces electricity without any fuel has been made by Mallawa Rupasinghe who informed the Power and Revewable Energy and Business Development Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday (02).
Expressing his views regarding this new invention, Mallawa Rupasinghe said, “In fact this mechanism could produce electricity even with a small water source. The Power and Energy Minister promised to obtain the government assistance in promoting this system in the development of the power sector. Therefore, within the next 1- 1 ½ years it would be possible to produce electricity using this new compression engine without any fuel.”
“Currently a large water body is required to produce hydro power. However, with this new system, electricity could be generated with even a water body as small as two to three inches. In the future, this system could be adopted the world over,” he said.
Mallawa has at present fitted this engine to a small water tank at his home and generates around 2 KW of power. He has only spent around Rs. 600,000 in order to build this small power station. He claims that even a 25 KW power station could be established at the same cost. With such a power station, electricity could be supplied to around 20 houses.
