Sexual harassment on female freshers in Jaffna University?

In Jaffna university, there has been a shocking sexual harassment on female freshers by senior students.The reception of the fresher students of the Jaffna University's Art Degree has been held at the University of Jaffna today.

It is said that senior students who visited there have persecuted some Newcomers students.In addition, some senior students have been involved in sexual harassment on Newcomer girls too.

When a student tried to take a video, some of the senior students allegedly attacked the student.Following the incident, the female student immediately complained to the university vice chancellor. He immediately ordered to suspend the event immediately. After that the event was suspended.

The university vice-chancellor has been  requested to take action against those senior students involved in the violation.

At the same time, it is to be noted that  various parties have  accused of raising sexual harassment in the Jaffna University.which had been famous for its cultures in the past.
