CM Palaniswami lashes out at DMK, calls party epitome of corruption
Calling the DMK as an epitome of corruption, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said they have done nothing good for the State.
Campaigning for Karur AIADMK candidate M Thambidurai, Edappadi K Palaniswami said, “The manifesto of the DMK is a bundle of lie. If the manifesto is for State elections, we can hope for a little. It is impossible to implement his promises since we are fighting Parliamentary elections.”
He further said that the main opposition party is keen to block welfare measures being initiated for farmers and general public. And when P Chidambaram was the Finance Minister of the country, he did nothing for Tamilnadu. They come out only when there is an election and try to cheat people by making false promises, he added.
In a recent interview, the Chief Minister said, “AIADMK chose to be in alliance with BJP for the welfare of Tamil people. Compatibility with the Centre allows the state to enjoy huge welfare schemes. Amidst all those surveys and studies over the results of upcoming elections, BJP will win the elections with utmost majority. All the parties in our alliance want Narendra Modi to be the PM again. But if you notice the opposition, they don’t have any general agreement over the PM candidate.”
He further said that the combined vote share of AIADMK alliance will be decisive and hence, the coalition will emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
