Hangman concealed from media!

The Prison Department has been given instruction from higher ups not to reveal the identities of the two persons chosen for the post of hangmen.

Although 79 applications were received for the position, only 32 had come for the interview, it is reported. Among them was a degree holder.

However, the selected two would also be subjected to a mental specialist for evaluation.

Thereafter, the two chosen candidates would be given a month’s training prior to being deployed for service.

The vacancy for the post of hangman had existed from 2012 and as it is a labour post the salary is expected to be Rs. 36,625.
