US Courts issue summons on Gota!

The American authorities had delivered summons to Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on Sunday night (07) notifying him to appear before a US court, it is reported.

According to information received from the US, these summons had been served on Gota in respect of a case filed against him by slain journalist Lasantha Wickramatunge’s daughter Ahimsa Wickramatunge.

 The petition cites Gota as the person responsible for her father’s death.

Gota had been issued the summons while he was in the Traders Joe’s American Grocery Store complex in California.

Gotabhaya is currently in the US to attend the wedding of his close pal Sanjeewa Gunasekara.
