Sri Lanka's former head of state Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga visited Jaffna today.She arrived in Jaffna this morning on a Sri Lankan transport aircraft serving the Colombo-Jaffna airbase.
Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, the head of the Office for National Integration and Reconciliation, was welcomed by the Governor of Northern Province Dr Suren Raghavan at the Palaly airport.
It is being said that Chandrakha's visit is to participate in the celebration of national Tamil-Sinhala New Year festival which is to be held in Jaffna.
