‘Andha Nimidam’ is inspired by Pollachi crime

Kuzhandhai Yesu, a former assistant of SP Muthuraman and K Balachander, who has done a few Sinhalese movies, is entering Tamil cinema with a movie titled Andha Nimidam.

Inspired from the recent real-life incidents of sexual abuse in Pollachi that shook the entire state, the film has Rudhra from M’town playing the male lead and Nasin and Sanchana Naidu roped in for female leads.

“I have taken the knot from the incident and narrated it in a suspenseful manner. There is a lot of emotions as well. I wanted newcomers without any image trap for the vital characters. I am also introducing Lal Veera Singh from Sri Lanka as the main villain. Besides Pollachi, we have also shot in Colombo extensively.”
