Three of family commit suicide in TN

Salem: In a tragic incident, a couple and their daughter allegedly consumed poison and were found dead at a lodge. Another daughter is undergoing treatment at the Government hospital.

According to media reports, the family was from Chennai and the lodge workers had noticed that the door of the room, where the family stayed since day before yesterday night, was not opened for long. The employees then broke it open and found the couple and daughter lying unconscious. Another girl was struggling for life.

A bottle of soft drink laced with poison was found at the scene and a note purportedly written by the man was retrieved by the police officials. The note stated they took the extreme step due to financial burden.
