A person who set fire to a boat in Jaffna arrested (Pics)

A suspect was arrested in connection with setting ablaze a boat on the coast of Vadamarachchi East, Point Pedro,Jaffna, , yesterday (14), Point Pedro police said.

Police said that the berthed boat had been completely burned due to the fire and that investigations had been launched on a complaint lodged by the fishermen of area.

The arrested suspect is to be produced before the Point Pedro Magistrate's Court.

The Point Pedro police are conducting further investigations.
