Gaalu Kumari' derailed at Galle Station

The Maradana bound Beliatta Gaalu Kumari train has derailed at the Galle Station disrupting rail services along the Coastal line.

The Railway Control Room said the derailment was reported at around 7.30 this morning.

The Control Room noted that measures have been taken to restore services and added that trains playing from Colombo Fort station have been limited to Hikkaduwa station.

Meanwhile, due to a train derailment, services along the Kelani Valley have also been disrupted.
