Cellphone won’t be allowed inside voting booths: CEO Sahoo

Webcams are being installed in 30,000 booths in Tamilnadu for the 2019 general elections to 39 MP seats and 18 Assembly seats that are going to by-elections, tomorrow.

A control room has been set up in the Secretariat at Chennai to monitor the feed from these cameras.

Talking to mediapersons at the Secretariat this morning, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Satyabrata Sahoo said polling will take place from 7 am to 6 pm in Chennai. Cellphones will not be allowed inside the booths.
