‘Mangala’s conspiracy to make Sajith president’!

The FB post by the Chief of the private staff of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe titled, ‘Massive conspiracy on April 12 at Hilton to make Sajith Prime Minister’ was a decisive juncture in the UNP presidential fight, according to the party’s internal sources.

The FB post was by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s niece Ishini Wickremesinghe, where she had quoted a report published on a web site.

According to the report a secretive meeting had been held at the Hilton Hotel on April 12 and Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera had also attended this meeting.

Minister Mangala Samaraweera had reacted to this post with a surprised emoji while a staff member had responded saying that the minister was not in the island on that particular day.

Ishini Wickremesinghe had earlier served as Minister Mangala Samaraweera’s Private Secretary and now serves as the Head of the Presidential Operations Committee of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
