Adigalar conducts grand ‘Kalasa vilakku velvi’ pooja

 Spiritual leader Bangaru Adigalar conducted a grand ‘Kalasa Vilakku Velvi’ pooja by raising 1008 yaaga kundams at Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Siddhar Peedam Friday.

Adigalar prayed for bountiful rains, relief from natural disasters, world peace and for the people to do more good deeds and lead a content life.

Under Adigalar’s guidance, the yaaga kundams were made in the shapes of sulam, single and double-headed snakes, triangle, square, rhombus, pentagon, octagon and circle. More than 1000 kalasa Vilakku (lamps) were also lit for the Velvi pooja.

In front of the ‘Om Sakthi’ stage at the Siddhar Peedam, a giant ‘Universal Wheel’ (Andaveli Chakram) embedded with Navarathna stones, was erected. It symbolically represented the protection given by Adhiparasakthi to the universe.

Moreover, a pancha dheiva circle was placed in front of the sanctum sanctorium and a nature wheel (iyarkai chakram) was placed in front of the Putru (snake pit) mandapam. Also, chakrams made of weapons like knife, stick, whip, trident, mace, spear and chunk wheel were formed as a symbolic representation of the fight against adharma and evil.

State Agriculture Minister Duraikannu, TNPSC chairman Arulmozhi, retired judges Murugesan and Rajeswaran, Southern Railway officers Senthilkumar and Jeyanth, Metrowater Director Mahendran, Chief Minister’s Special Projects Director Radhakrishnan, Kanchipuram district judge Karunanidhi were present.

Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Spiritual Movement president, Lakshmi Bangaru Adigalar and vice president K P Senthilkumar oversaw proceedings of the Kalasa Vilakku Velvi pooja.
