Transfers of several senior police officers suspended

The National Police Commission has temporarily suspended the transfers of several senior police officers.

The measure has been implemented with the intention of preventing any hindrances to ongoing investigations into Easter Sunday attacks.

Issuing a statement the Police Media Unit said accordingly the transfers of two Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police, four Deputy Inspector General, two Senior Superintendent of Police and five Superintendents of Police were temporarily suspended by the National Police Commission.
