Cardinal cancels Sunday masses for 2nd week

The Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has called for Sunday mass to be cancelled this week as well.

Fr. Edmund Tillekeratne of the Archdiocesan Media when contacted by NewsRadio said services on the 5th will not be held across Catholic churches.

Services at churches were cancelled last Sunday, following the attacks on Easter Sunday that killed more than 250 people.

A special service was held by Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith at a private Mass.

The service was broadcast live on television and radio, after the attacks prompted churches to cancel all public Masses.
