ISIS main training camp discovered today in Batticaloa 14 days later

A training camp believed to be the main camp site of ISIS terrorists and the main area of attacks in the country has been besieged by Special Task Force and Police in Batticaloa this morning.

The camp was seized in Manmanai, Ollikulam in Batticaloa Kattankudi police division.

Kattankudi police said that this camp was captured on the basis of the arrests of Abdul Rauf suspected of belonging to the organization.

The security guards suspect that the bombs could have been sent from here as well.

The plastic poles placed in the camps for the use of the bombs and the use of them are also rescued.

The security forces said investigations were underway and  pointed out that  such pipes were found with bombs near the Katunayake airbase on the 21st of this year.

The Kattankudi police said that there were various security measures in the camp to monitor for,any intruders also.

Kattankudi police, special commandos, are holding intelligence investigations.
