Bail application of arrested Jaffna university students by Judge A.S.P. Paul with reason

The bail request made on behalf of the Jaffna University students  has been rejected today. Jaffna Magistrate A.S.Paul has dismissed it as saying that there is no power to grant this bail and ordered them to be put in the custody   until the 16th  of this month.

On behalf of the arrested and remanded in custody, a bail application has been filed before today. 

The magistrate who examined the petition rejected it and said that they had no right to give without the opinion of the Attorney General's Department,
