President and Prime Minister in battle for power amid national crisis?

According to reports, President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe are in their familiar battle for power amid a crisis spawned upon terrorizing a whole nation. 

The Police Department is being pulled against the directions in between the President and the Prime Minister, reports say. 

Apparently, each possesses their own ideology, to solve this national crisis by taking control of the Police Department by themselves. 

Nevertheless, it is apparent that the public is being severely compromised by either of the ideologies to solve the problem, when there is but thirst for power.
