Man sexually harasses woman inside Mulund ATM, gets arrested

A woman on Sunday alleged that she was sexually harassed by a man in Mumbai's Mulund area. She tweeted a video of the accused and said that he exposed his private parts to her. The accused was nabbed after the woman informed the cops who were patrolling the area.

According to the complaint, the incident took place inside an ATM in Mulund East at around 2:30 am on Sunday.

The woman was withdrawing some cash to pay an autorickshaw when the accused came and offered to help. She refused to accept the man's help but he kept insisting, following which he exposed his private parts to her.

At this point, the woman took out her mobile phone and recorded the accused. In the video, the accused is seen running away after she told him that he is being recorded.

"I went to withdraw money to pay the rick and I was facing problems and this guy offered to pay for it but he kept touching me, inside the ATM! I decided to record him and he panicked. Luckily there was a cop car, and I showed them the video and they followed him," the woman tweeted.

The accused was later arrested by the Navghar police. A case under sections 354(A) & 509 of IPC has been registered against him.
