Ban all extremist schools-Rathana Thera

Parliamentarian Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thera says all extremist schools in the country should be banned.

Speaking to media in Kandy, Athuraliye Rathana Thera said the government should introduce a national education policy.

The Thera stressed that the Muslim community should embraced the Sri Lankan traditions and customs. Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thera said the government should close all regions-based schools in the country immediately.

The Thera added that internationally funded religious establishments should also be closed.
