Stern Warning for illegal VPN users

As illegal social networks have been banned in Sri Lanka, illegal use of alert has been issued.The police have warned that fake information is being spread by using the VPN processor while banning social networks in order to maintain peace in the country.Thus, three persons who have exchanged messages in order to disrupt ethnic unity.in social networks have been detained in Matara 

The military is involved in the detection of illegal weapons.However, this information is spreading about the police that they  get  bribe  and to hand it over the arms back  to the Muslims.

Three suspects have been arrested by the Matara Police Intelligence Division on this allegation.

These suspects have sent this information using VPN in the meantime, while social networks including Facebook have been disabled.

This is seen as an attempt to influence the  conflict  between the races and the conflict between the police and the public.

he detainees are from Matara,and  are  34, 29 and 27, and have been remanded till the 27th of this month.

The police have warned that legal action will be taken against those spreading of false news using VPN.
