Tension in Vavuniya Monks try to enter the refugee camp; Security personnels amassed !!

The tension prevailed over the action taken by the Buddhist monks and local council leaders against the staying of foreign refugees in Vavuniya.

Following this, a large number of military personnel were amassed in the Poonthottam welfare center.

Some foreign refugees have been resettled in the Rehabilitation Center in Vavuniya. In the afternoon at 1 pm, three religious leaders in the Vavuniya municipal council and four other Pradeshiya Sabhas, except members of the Vavuniya North Pradeshiya Sabha, and a few members of the public took a discussion.

The decision was taken to remove foreign refugees from Vavuniya and issued a strong objection to make them staying here.
