Minister Rishad records statement at FCID -

Minister Rishad Bathiudeen has left the Financial Crimes Investigation Division after recording a statement over financial misappropriation.

The statement was recorded pertaining to financial misappropriation reported during the importation of 257,000 metric tonnes of rice to Sri Lanka Sathosa in 2014 and 2015.

The Police Media Unit said Minister Bathiudeen arrived at the FCID around 10 this morning and left the premises after recording a statement for six and a half hours.
