Doctor arrested over suspicious accumulation of assets

Police have arrested a Doctor attached to the Kurunegela Teaching hospital on charges of suspicious accumulation of assets.

Kurunegela Police had accordingly arrested the Doctor aged 42 years.

Police stated the Doctor had been arrested in order to investigate his assets and determine their source.

Kurunegela Police are carrying out further investigations.
