9 crime suspects nabbed in Jaffna

Jaffna police say that 09 crime suspects were arrested yesterday while celebrating the birthday of 'Dhanu Rock', who is a notorious gang leader in the area.

The nine persons have been arrested on two separate counts. Five have been arrested behind Dhanu Rock's house while attending his birthday party while four others have been nabbed at a seperate celebration in the Navali area.

The suspects have been taken to the Manippai and Jaffna police stations and it has been revealed that they have been involved in a large number of criminal activities in the area.
