Fleeing of an armed suspected - A bulk of army personnel concentrated in Vanni!

A large number of military personnel have been deployed in the area in search of the hiding person with weapons in the northern Puthurarea of Vavuniya.

The police received information that a person was going by the last night in the main road leading to the Puthur Nagadambran temple.

The police working in the Puliyankulam police station with the aim of arresting the person were deployed to arrest the culprit with arms.

However, the person who saw the policemen left the weapon on the road and escaped into the forest. The police could recover  the weapons and special task forces were deployed in the area to cordon off the suspect.
