MRP of 3 types of Rice declared

The Maximum Retail Price has been announced for 3 types of rice.Accordingly 1kg locally produced White Samba has been marked at Rs. 85.

The MRP of 1kg of Local White Nadu has been set Rs.80, whilst the MRP of 1kg of Red Nadu rice has been marked at Rs. 74.

The Gazette Notification issued in this regard states the MRP is effective 31st May 2019.Meanwhile the Consumer Affairs Authority warned that anyone selling Rice in violation of the declared MRP will have strict action taken against them.
