Committee set up to accept complaints against Rishad, Hizbullah & Salley

The Police Headquarters has set up a committee to obtain complaints against Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen and Former Governor’s MLAM Hizbullah and Azath Salley.
Police Media Spokesman Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara said a Senior Superintendent of Police and two Superintendents’ of Police have been appointed to the committee.
SP Gunasekara when contacted, said complaints can be lodged against the trio from today till the 12th of June.
The Police Headquarters also noted that the complaints can be submitted only in writing between 8am and 4pm.
President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday accepted the letters of resignation of Azath Salley and MLAM Hizbullah from their respective posts as Governors of the Western and the Eastern Province.
MP Rishad Bathiudeen was among the group of Muslim Ministers who yesterday resigned from all Ministerial portfolios.
