Will not support SLPP at Presidential election - Maithripala Sirisena

President Maithripala Sirisena during the weekly Cabinet Ministers meeting has claimed that he will not support the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna at the upcoming Presidential Election.

A senior member of the government when contacted by NewsRadio stated that the President made this announcement during yesterday’s Cabinet meeting.

The spokesman however noted that the President did not mention of whether or not he will contest the Presidential Election, or whether he will support the United National Party.
