‘House Owner’ is a special movie in my career, says Kishore

“My role in House Owner is very challenging. Director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan has written it very well,” says actor ‘Aadukalam‘ Kishore.

In the movie, Kishore plays an old man. A major portion of the story revolves around him. It is a story on love and separation inspired by true events that happened during the 2015 Chennai floods.

Sriranjani, Lovelyn Chandrasekhar and ‘Pasanga‘ Kishore in crucial roles. The film marks the debut of Lovelyn, daughter of actress Viji Chandrasekhar. The film has been set against a Brahmin family backdrop and the story oscillates between two time periods. Ghibran has composed music for House Owner.

“I want to do quality movies sand I am thankful to my fans, who are motivating and encouraging me a lot,” he says.

Excerpts from his interview:

Q: How did the opportunity to act in House Owner came?
A: One day, I got a call from Lakshmi Ramakrishnan. She narrated the story to me and briefed me about my character (an old man). It was appealing and I decided that I should not miss the opportunity. Rarely an actor would get such solid roles. Convinced by the story, I chose to act in it.

Q: Your rapport with filmmaker Vettrimaran?
A: We are good friends. He knows me well. I acted in his films Aadukalam and Vada Chennai. They gave wonderful opportunities for me to prove my acting skills. I am not part of Vettrimaran’s next Asuran. He knows how to handle me well.

Q: Do you want to direct movies in future?
A: Certainly not. I never had such intentions. I want to do what my filmmaker expect me to do on screen. I want to act in films that have a strong message for audience.

Q: Tell us about your passion for organic farming?
A: I am involved in organic farming near Hosur on a two acre land. It gives me immense satisfaction.

Q: Will you venture to politics in future?
A: Politics is not my cup of tea. I read about political development and never missed an opportunity to cast my vote in any election.
