Legendary actor and playwright Girish Karnad dies at 81 in Bengaluru

Veteran actor and playwright Girish Karnad died on Monday morning in Bengaluru. The 81-year-old actor, who was being treated for a prolonged illness, passed away after multiple organ failure. The funeral will take place today at Kalpalli electric crematorium in Byappanahalli, Bengaluru.

Shruti Haasan mourned the death of Girish Karnad. She wrote on Twitter, "May you rest in peace Girish Karnad sir. Your talent humour and sharp intellect will be missed.
