2-year-old Punjab boy, pulled out of borewell after 110 hours, dies
The two-year-old boy, who was trapped in a 150-ft borewell for over 110 hours, was declared dead after being rescued on Tuesday morning in Punjab's Sangrur district.
Fatehveer Singh, who was rescued at 5.12 am by joint efforts of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), police officials, was flown to PGIMER Chandigarh in an ambulance, where his condition was first declared serious. He was declared dead early Tuesday morning.
Fatehveer Singh, who turned two years old on Monday, fell into the seven-inch wide borewell in a field around 4 pm on June 6 when he was playing near his house in Bhagwanpura village in Sangrur area.
