Ranil-Modi talks held in the car!

Talks between Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken place in the car while the duo travelled from and to the airport, it is reported.

This was due to the short four hour visit by the Indian Premier and the time allocated to Prime Minister Wickremesinghe being given for discussions with the Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and the opposition group.

The Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and TNA Leader R. Sampanthan had met with the Indian Premier.

Meanwhile, Minister Lakshman Kiriella noted that as soon as the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sri Lanka tour was confirmed, he had telephoned the Prime Minister’s office and had wanted him to participate in all events that Modi participates.
