Boyfriend of Kelaniya Uni student arrested for stabbing her

Police have arrested an individual believed to be the boyfriend of a female student studying at the Kelaniya University, who is charged with stabbing her.

Police stated the stabbing had reportedly occurred this morning at the Kelaniya University premises.The injured 21 year old female student has been admitted to the Ragama Teaching hospital for treatment.

Her boyfriend is 22 years of age. The Kiribathgoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
